World Sports Exchange (also known as WSEX) is an online bookmaker offering sportsbook gambling odds and sportsbook wagering lines including, football lines, basketball odds, baseball parlays, hockey odds, and horse racing track odds. Established in 1995, it is one of the pioneers of internet gaming. The company also runs the World Poker Exchange, an online poker cardroom.
In 2000, former owner Jay Cohen was prosecuted by the United States government for violating the Federal Wire Act.[1]
World Sports Exchange has many complaints against it for failing to pay its customers money owed to them, as noted on a leading industry watchdog site, www.sportsbookreview.com which gives World Sports Exchange a D rating ("Poor, some risk to players funds. Poor customer service, etc.") World Sports Exchange has had customers complaining to have not received payments which total in the hundreds of thousands.[2]
